The role will be based across Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust to support the Urology department in the achievement of its Emergency and Elective Performance standards. This post attracts 10 PAs. This is for a 12 month fixed term post with a view to a substantive appointment. The Urology Department provides a comprehensive general urology service covering all the main sub specialties. There are close links with the Royal Marsden Hospital and St George’s hospital for oncology and more complex urological conditions. The department is well supported by an interventional radiology department. The Urology department supports the Renal unit at St Helier. There is an onsite lithotripter and the department offers a regional acute and elective lithotripsy service. Specialist nursing staff attached to the department include 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, four urology nurse specialist in benign urology and six in cancer You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold Licence to Practice and ideally be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage. In addition to these services there is also a PICU Mental Health Service. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering people in their recovery and rehabilitation. Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder, and females and males in a PICU service.
