To aseptically prepare and dispense cytotoxic chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, parenteral nutrition and other sterile products for inpatients, outpatients and day cases, including clinical trials, according to local SOPs. To prepare and update all records relating to the aseptic service including environmental monitoring records, microbiology reports, servicing records, workload figures, previous worksheets, and copies of dispensed prescriptions. To use the pharmacy stock control system to accurately label and dispense medicines according to local SOPs. To dispense supportive therapies and oral chemotherapy in accordance with the prescription and local SOPs. Organise, supervise and assist in the training of pharmacy technicians and support workers within Technical Services and deputise for the band 6 Pharmacy Technician for Technical Services as required.     • Nursing Associate - Keele University This is an exciting opportunity to join the Student Nursing Associate Apprenticeship Programme hosted by The Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust (SaTH) commencing September 2025 studying with Keele University at the Telford College Campus (Subject to NMC Validation) The Nursing Associate Apprenticeship at Keele University is designed to nurture individuals to make a difference in the workplace. The apprenticeship has a practical approach to the knowledge, skills and behaviour development required to be a Nursing Associate. To be eligible to apply youMUSTmeet the following criteria: • 6 months health care experience in an acute health care setting employed or part of a health care placement • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C (4) or accepted equivalent such as Functional Skills. • Be able to be to commit to Apprentice programme for the 2-year period. • Cannot already be on an Apprenticeship or any Government funded training, Cannot have a qualification at the same or higher level in the same vocational area. There needs to be significant new learning. Needs to be eligible for funding by living in the UK for 3 years or more or fits criteria in funding rules Has been a UK resident for 3 or more years. Or Meets the eligible and valid residency status and permission to work in the UK criteria in Annex A of the linked funding document: Apprenticeship funding rules 2024 to 2025 (publishing.service.gov.uk) This is a training and developmental role. The Student will work towards progression into the post of Nursing Associate through successful completion of the Nursing Associate training programme which includes the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualification. They will develop and maintain knowledge, skills and competencies related to the role of Nursing Associate within the service and through completion of the Nursing Associate training programme which includes working in care settings and delivery of person centred-care. The Nursing Associate training programme combines and integrates both academic and work-based learning through close collaboration between employers and education providers. A Student Nursing Associate will be based, as an employee, in a particular organisation, in a specific setting, but will experience working in alternative settings in order that they gain a wide appreciation of many health and care contexts and are able to fulfil all the requirements of the programme. At the end of the programme, the Student Nursing Associate will be equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and behaviours relevant to employment as a Nursing Associate and will work to a nationally recognised NMC code (2018) As a Trust, we are passionate about helping our staff to achieve their career aspirations, and can offer a variety of learning and development opportunities to support your continued professional development.
