For this role we require an inspiring lived experience leader with a proven track record of working in a peer support worker role and then latterly in leading a large number of peer workers. You should be confident in developing, embedding and upholding policies and governance related to lived experience workers, and be able to support both peer working staff and wider colleagues by utilising a values-led approach to empowering and inspiring others. The post holder will have responsibility for providing a Dermatology service in conjunction with consultant colleagues. This is a permanent post 1.0 WTE covering 10 PA's based at the James Paget University Hospital covering 5 days per week Monday to Friday. There will be no on-call commitments Main duties of the job The appointee will help the department achieve the skin cancer waiting time targets and the 18 week referral to treatment time targets and other targets as become relevant. The appointee will have opportunity to develop their own special interest and engage in research activities The appointment is to the Trust, not to specific hospitals however the appointee may be expected, as part of their duties, to undertake clinics in community hospitals or outreach clinics. There will be no on-call commitments. Any dermatology patient needing admission to hospital will be admitted to the general medical ward where they will be stabilized and referred to the dermatology team the following day for review. The appointee will share with the other consultants in the supervision of nurse-led clinics in the departments. These include acne, leg ulcer, Cryotherapy, Photodynamic therapy, day treatment and surgery lists.
