A Vacancy at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital are seeking to recruit Senior Clinical Fellow in Arthroplasty Surgery to increase capacity and improve delivery of high-quality Joint Replacement Surgery to patients referred from General Practitioners, other secondary and tertiary care providers. The Fellows will join a surgical team of eight specialist Lower limb Arthroplasty surgeons. There are also 3 consultants who specialise in Young Adult Hip and there is potential for exposure to this area of subspecialisation if appropriate. It is however anticipated that these posts will not have a specific Young Adult commitment but will concentrate on Joint replacement and particularly management of complex and urgent revision procedures. One post will provide exposure to computer assisted and robotic assisted hip and knee arthroplasty under supervision of Professor Davis and one will concentrate more on revision hip surgery under the supervision of Mr David Dunlop. The department undertakes a comprehensive range of surgical procedures from hip preservation surgery through to custom made implants for complex revision cases with massive bone loss. The timetable can be tailored depending on the appointees’ specific area of interest. Potential areas: Hip Resurfacing, Hip and Knee Replacement (cemented, uncemented and occasional custom-made cases), Revision Hip and Knee surgery (including cases with multiple previous procedures), Navigated Hip and knee surgery and Robotic Hip and knee Replacements. Job summary CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST IN GENERAL ADULT PSYCHIATRY Greenwich Mental Health Hub Plumstead Health Centre, Strandfield Close, London SE18 1BH Permanent 1.0 WTE (10 Pas per week) The post holder will be Consultant Psychiatrist to the Greenwich Hub (formerly the Primary Care Plus Team (PCP) with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. This post replaces one of the outgoing Consultant Psychiatrists. You will work alongside another full-time consultant in the team with support from junior medical staff. Within Greenwich there is an Older Adult Team based at Memorial Hospital, a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team at Highpoint House and Plumstead Health Centre and an inpatient unit (Oxleas), based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, an Early Intervention in Psychosis Team, Primary Care Plus Team (PCP), an Anxiety, Depression and Personality Trauma Team (ADAPT) and a Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team. PCP team operates from one team base: Market Street Health Centre, Woolwich The Forensic Team that supports the directorate is based at The Bracton Centre in Dartford. Rationale for Post Development Demands have risen considerably during and post pandemic and there is now an expectation that there will be a further increase given service development and forthcoming structural changes. We also have a significant increase in ADHD/ASD referrals and must conduct the initial assessment while often those patients with previously diagnosed ADHD and who have stopped medications are referred back to PCP for medication initiation and monitoring. These cases tend to remain for months and some of them have also been with us for more than a year after being declined by other services. Although we will accept the initial referrals from GPs, these are redirected to our local ADHD Services.
