    • Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our thriving GP practice team. We are seeking a highly motivated and driven doctor eager for a new challenge and the chance to make a meaningful impact within our expanding practice. Derby Road Health Centre is a GMS training practice in Lenton, Nottingham. We are looking to appoint an additional GP for up to 6 sessions per week. Sessions required are Monday's, Wednesdays & Thursday's, all day. We currently have a list size of just short of 13000 patients, this is likely to increase due to housing developments locally. We completed a 6 clinical room extension, to our purpose built premises in April 2021 to give additional capacity. Our practice population is diverse which makes the practice an interesting place to work. We currently have 3 partners, 5 salaried GPs and a full complement of ancillary staff, including 2 highly experienced nurse practitioners who support with urgent on the day problems. Derby Road Health Centre is a primary care research practice with plans to expand our research activity over the coming years. We share premises with an independent pharmacy, and have ample staff and patient parking available. Main duties of the job The GP will be expected to: Fulfil their share of Routine & Urgent appointments, share of visits routine & emergency; sign a share of repeat prescriptions each day. Accept responsibility & time-manage completion of administration: letter, results, referrals, telephone calls and home visits; Take responsibility for appropriate referrals, meet targets for QOF as part of day to day role. Complete a share of child protection, insurance & DWP reports & medicals attend Mental Health Sections, attend Child Protection reviews where appropriate. Complete death certificates. About us We are a training practice for GP Registrars and F2's and we strive to make the practice a good place to work by valuing and developing our staff. We have have a strong team culture with a clear focus on staff wellbeing. Several of our staff have worked beyond retirement age and 2 of our salaried GPs were previously trainees at the practice. We currently employ a further 21 administration / reception staff, 4 nurses, a HCA and a phlebotomist plus 3 managerial staff. We are an active member of our PCN (PCN City South) and have several additional ARRS staff working in practice which include a clinical pharmacist prescriber, a pharmacy technician, 3 social prescribers, 2 physiotherapists and a mental health nurse.
