This service is currently based on a biopsychosocial model providing matched care for patients and training for primary care staff. The PPSS sits within the Department of Physical Health and Rehabilitation Psychology in the Specialist Services Care Pathway within North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. The Department offers specialist psychological and rehabilitation input, across Cumbria to patients with Health and Neurological problems. Main duties of the job The main purpose is to support, and continually improve the Persistent Physical Symptoms Service (PPSS) within the North Cumbria area. The main roles and responsibilities will include Taking a lead role in the physiotherapy provision within PPSS - providing an advanced level of assessment and therapeutic input for patients presenting with highly complex physical and psychological symptoms. To provide expert physiotherapy advice, support and education alongside multi-disciplinary colleagues to ensure the delivery of person centred, integrated and co-ordinated services (where appropriate).
