The Haematology Department is one of the largest in the UK offering a wide variety of analyses using modern equipment and processes over 3,000 samples each day. The department holds UKAS ISO15189:2012 accreditation and is an HCPC approved training laboratory. Training and development opportunities are available and all staff are encouraged actively to participate in CPD. The department is a tertiary referral site for Haemostasis & Thrombosis, Haemoglobinopathies and Immunophenotyping services. Previous experience in NHS is essential. Our breast patients are treated with SGRT, & DIBH is offered to all appropriate patients who have left sided breast cancer.We are one of two leading centres delivering radiotherapy for paediatrics in the Midlands that specialises in SGRT, intensity-modulated TBI& CSRT. And now we have an MRI Scanner. Main duties of the job You will be a highly experienced therapeutic radiographer, managing the pre-treatment area alongside diagnostic radiographers, leading a team to provide safe and accurate highly specialised MRI Scanning and radiotherapy treatment. You will manage a clinical workload ensuring all procedures are delivered safely and correctly, maintaining high standards of technical and patient care. There is a requirement to work at an advanced level promoting best practice, giving expert advice, support and guidance to junior staff and the multidisciplinary team. You will also provide operational input into the department and staff related matters as well as providing Mentoring & Coaching to support junior staff. In addition to the staff responsibilities, you will also take direct responsibility for your staff's 1:1's, appraisals and work programmes to support their development.
