Our purpose is to ensure health and care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and to encourage those services to improve. The past 12 months have been very challenging for CQC and our new Chief Executive, Sir Julian Hartley, is galvanising the organisation to action. We have embarked on a major programme of change and improvement that will take our organisation into the future as an expert regulator. We are committed to ensuring that our regulation is more relevant to the way care is now delivered, more flexible to manage risk and uncertainty, with an ability to respond in a quicker and more proportionate way as the health and care environment continues to evolve. While our role as a regulator does not change, we need to continue to evolve the way that we work. Sir Julian has identified a number of immediate priorities and foundational improvements that we are focused on. We have appointed several new leaders to our organisation in recent months and our next key appointment is a Chief Digital, Data and Registration Officer (CDDRO) who will provide senior leadership for the organisation's Technology, Data & Insight, and Registration functions. This role is crucial in delivering a modern, intelligence-led regulatory model that supports safe, effective, compassionate, and high-quality care across the health and social care system in England. We are seeking an exceptional individual for this role who can inspire the trust and confidence of the public and professionals locally, regionally and nationally. If you are enthusiastic and passionate about the challenges this opportunity offers, and believe that you have the skills, experience, and ambition then we would welcome an application from you. Closing date for applications - Wednesday 6th August 2025 How to Apply Please do not submit applications via the CQC website. For more information, including details of how to apply, please visit: www.odgers.com/94294 All candidates are also requested to complete an online Diversity Monitoring Form which will be found at the end of the application process. This will assist the Care Quality Commission in monitoring selection decisions to assess whether equality of opportunity is being achieved. Any information collated from the Diversity Monitoring Forms will not be used as part of the selection process and will be treated as strictly confidential. Care Quality Commission.
